Eternal optimism

This has got to be a thing right? Like, a divine spirit of optimism. Why is it so, that there lies is some people, the burning fire of an eternal optimistic light?

Perhaps we cling to it, knowing no other way to approach the world and its dreads…

But there it is. Somehow, we have been given this gift of life, and I suppose that some cannot let it be in vain.

I am an eternal optimist. It is my strength. And I believe that it is one of the keys, if not the most important, in not only our own personal battles, but with the battles at large.

Our struggles for equality, for liberation, and justice must be firmly rooted in the idea that anything is possible in this world of impossibility.

We mustn’t let ourselves too become a source of our own dissuasion. There is enough of that about: I’m convinced it is the bedrock of our society.

And who knows us better than ourselves?

We must imbue our lives with this optimism when we can and we must try and let it empower us.

It has served me well this far.
